yogurt sauce for broccoli
This sauce is nothing more than a simple, quick, aromatic and tasty mix of yogurt and herbs. I love it and have been using it for years. I serve it with steamed broccoli, but it also goes well with other vegetables or, for example, grilled meat. You can serve it warm (by gently heating the whole thing) or cold. That's how I like it best. I'm giving the ingredients here on a "more or less" basis. I like a whole lot of herbs in my yogurt. And of course, whenever possible, I use fresh herbs.
yogurt sauce for broccoli
Ingredients:
- 500 ml plain yogurt
- 1 bunch of dill
- thyme
- a handful of basil leaves
- oregano
- parsley
- 1-3 cloves of garlic (depending on your taste)
- salt
- pepper
- optionally, a few young edible nasturtium leaves
- a nasturtium flower for garnish
Wash all the herbs, dry them and chop finely. Transfer the yogurt to a bowl and mix it with the herbs. Add the garlic pressed through a garlic press, season with salt and pepper and mix. Set aside for a little while to let the flavors "infuse" (the longer it sits, the more intense the taste of the herbs and garlic will be). Garnish with a nasturtium flower and serve.
Enjoy!

if you like eating greens, then by all means, go ahead, but this sauce doesn't have anything in it that would make the dish special, it's just for a layman, we throw in everything and nothing and everybody says it's great
What's wrong with simple sauces where you just mix the ingredients together? If someone likes "greens" on their own, fine, go ahead, and if not, the sauce adds flavor.
