Christmas Menu 2010
My menu for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day: traditional family dishes plus a few new ones.

Zucchini Soup
Creamy, delicate and very easy zucchini and potato soup, served with croutons or fried bread.

Crumbly Cheese Cookies
These cookies are crumbly and delicate, perfect for a get-together with friends over beer, or simply as a savory snack.

Zucchini and Mushroom Stew
A quick zucchini and mushroom stew with curry, cream and Parmesan. Great with pasta, rice, mashed potatoes or just good bread.

Potato Balls
Soft, delicate potato balls rolled in flour and fried golden. A wonderful side for fish and any kind of meat, and my daughters love them as finger food.

Smoked Mackerel and Egg Spread
A very simple, quick smoked mackerel and egg spread with pickles, onion and chives. Perfect on bread!

Coffee
Coffee: where it comes from, why we can enjoy it with a clear conscience, and what research says about its effects on our body and well-being.

Duchess Potatoes
Duchess potatoes: a gorgeous, decorative alternative to mashed potatoes, piped into pretty swirls and baked until golden. Great with meat or fish.

Grilled Rosemary Fish
Fish rubbed with rosemary, garlic and lemon, then baked or grilled. A simple, flavorful dinner that goes great with mashed potatoes.
