I have a simple but very tasty dessert for you today. I've been making pineapple fried in caramel for several years now, and I owe it all to marghe.
It comes together quickly and doesn't require any complicated ingredients. It's perfect for everyone who loves pineapple but doesn't necessarily like it completely fresh, when it makes everything it touches go numb :) You can prepare bananas or peaches the same way.

Marghe also suggests not throwing away the pineapple leftovers (the core), but pouring boiling water over it and adding a piece of ginger root and some lemon juice to make a warming drink. Delicious :)
The author uses fruity balsamic vinegar. I used a delicious dark balsamic cream. I also skipped the shredded coconut.
Instructions - Pineapple Fried in Caramel:
Peel the pineapple, cut it into cubes and remove the core. Zest the orange and squeeze out the juice.
Heat a skillet and add the sugar, without adding any fat. Wait until the sugar melts and browns slightly, then add the orange juice and zest (careful, it may splatter) and the vanilla extract, and stir. Add the fruit, stir, then transfer to a plate and serve drizzled with balsamic cream.
Enjoy!
