These apple cookies are already well known and very popular. They're child's play to make and so tasty. I made them with the kids at work, and as I watched them put the cookies together, I already knew I had picked the right recipe. My role was limited to keeping an eye on the kids, helping a little, peeling the apples and running the oven. The kids cut the apples, mixed the dough, rolled it out, shaped the cookies and arranged them on the baking sheet. Every few minutes I heard the question of whether they could eat them yet. They were a hit not only with the kids, but also with the grown-ups, who happily helped themselves. And I won't even mention the smell that filled the whole preschool and drew in everyone :)

They're light and slightly crispy, and the dough flakes a little, a bit like puff pastry. The sugar in the dough isn't necessary, because the powdered sugar gives enough sweetness, but if you like very sweet baked goods, you can add powdered sugar to the dough.
I took the photos at work with my phone, so they aren't pretty and maybe I shouldn't publish them. But I promised my kids that we'd make these together soon, so I'll replace the photos quickly.

In the meantime, you can see what they look like at Ola Cruz's.
How to make Child's Play Apple Cookies:
Chop the butter very finely. Mix the flour, farmer cheese and butter and quickly knead a sticky dough. Wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut them into pieces of about 1 cm.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Roll out the chilled dough to a thickness of about 4 mm. If needed, flour it generously. Cut out circles with a glass and place a piece of apple on each one, with the thicker side facing outward. Cover the apple by folding the other side of the dough over it, and place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the cookies for about 20 minutes, or until they turn golden brown. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and serve.
Enjoy!
