I'm probably going to be boring again, because once again I'm giving you a simple recipe with puff pastry. It just so happened that once again I had no time for bigger bakes or desserts. Once again it had to be quick, and once again I had puff pastry on hand. But once again it was delicious, so how could I not share the recipe again? I keep thinking that maybe, once again, someone will appreciate it, and the cake lovers will hold out a little longer, because I have a few things in the works, but I don't know if I'll manage to carry out my plans… again…
Apple and Caramel Tartlets/Cookies
Directions (child's play):
Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F).
Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into rectangles a few centimeters across. The size depends on how big you want the cookies to be. Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut them into eighths. Arrange the apples on the pastry pieces, sprinkle with cinnamon if you like, and fold the edges up a little if you want. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown. Sometimes it takes much less time.
Toward the end of baking, melt the sugar in a skillet until it turns brown. Take the cookies out of the oven, drizzle them with the caramel and serve.
Enjoy!
