This herring salad will definitely be on my Christmas Eve table, right next to Kashubian-style herring. Of course, the layered herring salad (the so-called Herring under a Feather Duvet, or śledzie pod pierzynką) will be there too. I'll come back to this year's Christmas Eve menu, but in the meantime, you're welcome to check out last year's post HERE.

Today's herring salad comes from the Mniammniam.pl forum and was created by Hefalumpa.

Directions:

Cut the herring into small pieces. Peel and finely chop the onion. Dice the apple, eggs and pickle. Gently mix all the ingredients together.

Mix the dressing ingredients well and combine with the herring. Season to taste, garnish and serve.

Enjoy!
