Forgive me for my silence, but I've been swallowed up by preparations for moving. I never thought there would be so much work, organizing and preparing. Luckily, the work is coming to an end. Just a few more days. I think (I hope) that by the end of next week, once I've settled into my new place, I'll be able to get back to my normal blogging rhythm. I can't wait. In the meantime, thinking of you, I've prepared a recipe for something sweet.
Yeast waffles had been tempting me for a long time for a simple reason – because I'd never made them before. Honestly, I was a little skeptical, because waffles and yeast just didn't seem to go together for me. But they turned out delicious, fluffy, and they disappeared fast :)
Yeast waffles
Directions – Yeast Waffles:
Sift the flour into a bowl, crumble in the yeast and pour a few tablespoons of warm milk over it, then mix lightly and set aside for a few minutes until it "gets going." Next, pour in the remaining milk, add the vanilla sugar, stir, cover and set aside again in a warm place for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the butter and let it cool, then mix it with the egg yolk. Add it to the risen dough, mix thoroughly and set aside to rise again for 20 minutes. Beat the egg white until stiff and gently fold it into the batter.
Heat the waffle iron until very hot, brush it with oil and bake the waffles. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
Enjoy!

Good luck with the last stage of the move, and I can't wait for more great recipes! These waffles look so yummy :)
Good luck sis, and talk to you from the new place :)
Great recipe, I made them yesterday and they came out just like in the picture, and they taste really good. Everyone in the family already has their own version: with whipped cream and dried fruit and nuts, with sautéed apples from Owocowa Rapsodia (you can buy it at Biedronka), with Nutella, or with Paola syrup and powdered sugar.
