Another Advent cookie. Crumbly, delicate, with a hint of marzipan. They are very simple and quick to make.
Still, you could try adding a little less flour or pudding mix, which I'll test next time, because there will definitely be a next time.

marzipan thumbprint cookies
Ingredients:
- 125 g butter
- 100 g marzipan, grated on the large holes of a grater
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 packet vanilla pudding mix (powder)
- Jam without fruit pieces, or jelly
- Optional: chocolate or nougat coating and sprinkles, e.g. chopped nuts
Knead a dough from the butter, marzipan, flour and pudding mix. Pinch off small pieces about the size of a walnut and roll them into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press a not-too-deep indentation into the center of each ball with the end of a wooden spoon handle. Bake in an oven preheated to 160°C (320°F) on convection for about 12 minutes (longer if the cookies are bigger). These cookies don't brown, so I don't recommend waiting for that.

Once they've cooled, brush each ball with the coating and top with sprinkles, then fill the indentations in the center with jam. I did this with a cookie decorating syringe with a pointed tip with a small opening. Set aside until the coating hardens.
Tips:
Before grating the marzipan, I put it in the freezer for a little while.
This amount of ingredients gave me about 27 balls.
Enjoy!
