Forgive me for posting “only” baked camembert on the blog today, such a little something, but I've run out of steam. I've come down with something and I need to rest and get better by Monday, because I'm starting a new job. Of course I won't disappear from the blog, new posts will keep appearing, even though I'll only be cooking and baking on weekends.
I spotted baked camembert prepared this way at [Bea's](Zapiekany camembert). I've made it before, too, but I baked it plain and served it with blueberry jam. Camembert baked with herbs is just as tasty, simple and quick, and it goes perfectly with a good wine and a warm baguette.
Baked camembert
Try the version with toasted nuts and maple syrup too. It's something special. Unfortunately, my photo came out very blurry, so I won't show it.
Directions – Baked Camembert:
Pierce the cheese in several places and press halves of garlic cloves and the herbs into the slits. Drizzle with a little olive oil. Place in individual ovenproof dishes and bake in the oven under the broiler until the cheese starts to melt and becomes very soft. It shouldn't completely run, though.
Serve warm with a baguette.
Enjoy!
