Red Cabbage and Orange Salad

One of the simplest and most interesting salads. The colors draw you in and make you reach for more. I recommend it if you want unusual flavors.

One of the simplest and most interesting salads I know. The colors draw you in and make you reach for a little more. The flavor is really intriguing and different from a "regular" red cabbage salad. I recommend it to anyone looking for new, unusual flavors.

Red Cabbage and Orange Salad

Directions:

Toast the walnuts and pumpkin seeds in a dry skillet (careful, the seeds like to jump out of the pan :) ) and let them cool. Peel the orange thoroughly and cut out the segments, leaving the membranes behind.

Shred the cabbage finely. Whisk together all the sauce ingredients and pour over the cabbage. Mix thoroughly, add the orange pieces and pomegranate seeds, sprinkle with the walnuts and pumpkin seeds, and serve. You can let the salad sit for a few minutes so the flavors can meld.

Enjoy!

This salad really is interesting, it's all vitamins, you can eat it without a main dish, but it goes great with white meat, I recommend it!

Tahini is a sesame paste. You can buy it in larger stores or in Asian food stores.
