## Ingredients

- 1 leek
- grated cheese (about 2 handfuls)
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp plain yogurt
- 1 tsp mustard
- pepper
- a little nutmeg

## Instructions

My cooking event "[Pora na pora](https://flowers-recipes.com/event-time-for-leeks/)" (a Polish pun that works as "Time for Leeks") is coming to an end. What a shame, but I'm so happy that it has attracted so much interest. I hope we can do it again, and that the [recipes collected during this event](http://durszlak.pl/akcje/pora-na-pora) will be used often.

Today I wanted to share with you the last recipe I'm adding to this event. It's a bread spread made with leek and cheese. The recipe was posted by Evaya on the Mniammniam.pl forum. I added the nutmeg myself, because I like it with leeks.

leek bread spread

**Directions:**

Cut off the ugly green part of the leek, wash it and slice it into very thin half-moons. Sprinkle with salt and set aside for a moment so it softens. Squeeze out any excess juices. Mix the remaining ingredients together, then mix them with the leek.

Enjoy!

The spread is delicious, I've made it too, but I never thought of adding nutmeg. I'll add it next time too.
